Over the Rainbow – Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

Ever wonder what it would be like, to go beyond the rainbow, while your standing there looking at one?

I’ve always loved the song, since I was very little, ‘Over the Rainbow’. It played on the TV yearly, and my very favorite part was when Dorothy sang this song. It has newer meanings for me, but I still love it. In case you’ve forgotten.. here’s the lyrics….

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can’t I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?

Well, turns out, I could, and did. It was beyond my wildest imagination to “fly over the rainbow”, and I never guessed it could happen until it was… flying out of Managua into a storm, when suddenly I looked down and here we were flying over the rainbow.
